Dr. Narayan Prasad, the founder member of Society for Education and Economic Development (SEED) is presently working as Reader in Economics, School of Social Sciences, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. Prior to joining this University, he has taught under-graduate and post-graduate classes in Govt. Post-Graduate College. He has also served several prestigious institutions like Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi and MRTP Commission, New Delhi. He has contributed several research papers to the leading academic journals. He has also designed, developed and launched a new academic programme namely Certificate in Labour in Development for educational empowerment of unorganised workers in India. He was conferred the Post-Doctoral Fellowship by University Grants Commission, New Delhi under Indo-French Cultural Exchange Programme and visited Paris, France in the year 1998. He has delivered lecturers of vedantic philosophy and Geeta in USA during the period April, 2001 to May, 2001.
His area of interests are labour, Economics of education, vedantic philosophy and development Economics.
