Manas International School

Under the Shiksha Vikas and Shishu Shiksha as well as to implement the concept of play way method and environment related teaching and learning a school for small children was opened in the village Mandi. The objectives of the school was to provide education to village children as well as to develop a new model of pre-primary and elementary education. School was named "Manas International School".. School was inaugurated by Shri Baldev Mahajan, Jt. Director, NIEPA, New Delhi. It had only two children in the beginning and at the end of the session there were 15 children. The strength increased to about 100 and then declined with opening of many new schools in the areas. Owing to lack of resources and absence of teachers trained in new concept, it was felt that our purpose of initiating education process in the village has been served. The operation of MIS was suspended in the year 2007. The concept is still alive with the financial support of government/ philanthropist the experiment can be attempted in some places near Delhi or in other states.
